Tuesday

What a day! Dav is away on a business trip. I usually hit the brownies and cookies when he does that. I did this time too...

B- secret agent brownie with peanut butter mousse - S
Coffee with cream

Sn - 1/2 apple 1 tsp peanut butter

L- small serving chicken Alfredo with dream fields.
Salad with ranch dressing
1/2 piece brownie - s

Sn - breve at Starbucks
Diet DP from sonic

D- fotato soup 1 T cheese
4 oz salmon fried in 1/4 tsp butter. - skinny S?

Sn - mouth watering merengues and coffee with a splash of cream.

Workout:
4 sets
10 Curl press 10 lb each arm
10 second plank position
10 push ups
10 second dead hang

Honesty Monday

Whew! What a weekend. It was busy. And stressful. In good ways. But still....
Cool note - I went to a Mexican food restaurant as a THM for the first time this weekend!! They didn't have cucumbers, but they brought me a plate of sliced zucchini that Dav and I dipped in guac and queso. I didn't miss the chips one bit!! And the fajitas were amazing. I did have 2 corn tortillas with it, but considering my past Mexican food chow downs, I'm ok with that.
I lost .4 lb this week. Not as much as I'd like to see, but the downward trend continues. This week I want to journal my food and exercise and monitor its effects. I know I tend to lean way too heavily on S. heavy S. who doesn't love cream and cheese?!
Today, I tried something different. I went mostly for FP and E and balanced my S with more salad. And I loved it!! Here we go:
B- muffin in a bowl (with orange extract) yum!
1 tsp of cream in my coffee.
Exercise
4 sets each
Squat (40 lb)
Deadlift (60 lb)
Then,
An assorted amount of situps, crunches and core exercises for 7 min for a total of 22 min.
Sn- Big Boy Smoothie (which it took me all morning to finish)
L- 1/2 enchilada, large salad with dressing - S
Sn - 1/2 cup Greek yogurt, 1/2 apple sweetener and cinnamon - FP??
D- sautéed sweet potato, onion and bell pepper in 1 tsp butter. Added 1 fillet salmon. (picture below)
Salad because I wasn't quite full yet.
Dessert (late) - light baked custard - FP

As I look back at this, it seems like a lot of food, but the calorie intake is fairly reasonable. We'll see how the week goes.

New Year's Eve

Our S snacks of meatballs, bacon wrapped water chestnuts, mousse cups, salmon dip and cheese sticks.

Konjac yummy

I just ate this for lunch. It's Fuel Pull fantastic!! Pearl posted the recipe on Facebook and the Forum, so I won't redo it here except to say I added a few veggies and a tsp of defatted peanut flour. Yum!!
I tend to have great difficulty shedding pounds, so my hope is that adding in some of these fuel pulls as meals will help. I may also need to switch to less rich desserts for regular days.
David texted me from Walmart a couple nights ago to inform me that he's had to take his belt in a notch. He was literally walking out of his jeans! I'm really excited for both of us. :-)
New Years Eve is upon us. We're having a party here. I'm planning to supply the buffet table with plenty of THM treats to keep me satisfied. I'll have to post pics of them when I get them done.

Belated weigh in.

We weighed in on Monday, but I haven't had a chance to post. I've lost almost a pound and David's gone down 1/2. Not as great a change as I'd like to have seen, but considering the week I can't complain. Life turned upside down on Friday morning when we learned our 2 boys' bio mom is 7 months pregnant with a girl. Now we're in limbo until she's born and we know whether or not we can get her. It's all I can think about!! Our daughter is so excited. And I'm just trying to maintain my diet! I didn't realize how much I relied on carbs to help me deal with stress. I've worked really hard to avoid them, but have probably relied a little too much on the fudge in the freezer. Sugar free but still needs to be enjoyed in moderation I'm sure.
On the upside, I made special agent Brownie to take to our family get together today. Yay!!

I made a pumpkin roll with a modified oopsie roll recipe!! It was amazing. I'm sure it could do with some tweaking.....but still. It was good. :-) I'll try and get the recipe typed up soon.
